Yeah, getting 8 to 10 inches spoiled everyone on the Gulf coast but to snow in Pensacola 2 years in a row in crazy in itself

It was worth setting the alarm early. I got a dusting on my truck, and it came down in big flakes for a while. Even though the temp is slightly above freezing, I bet they see some accumulation over in parts of the Panhandle.

Winner for this one is the GFS. Even though it wiped the windshield, it started showing signals of this borderline event back on Jan 5th, 13 days ago.

Yeah, I think that's another record. I read somewhere (I think Tallahassee discussion) where the Panhandle has never had measurable snowfall two years in a row. Not sure if the NWS here will record it as measurable, but if so it would probably be a record here too.

Deep south could see more winter weather entering February.

Yeah. GFS leading the way with the farthest southern advance of snow and ice. It’s not all the way to the coast but there’s some big amounts across TX and Central LA/MS/AL/GA & SC next weekend.

There was some on the MGC. 120 ICON run and the cold is coming down. GFS should be in the storm range next 10 minutes or so.

GFS 18 gets the ice storm a little farther south. Total snowfall not yet updated on TT which is something I want to watch next few days.

Very active pattern coming. I do not like the models in good agreement on a brutal ice storm across the South

GFS bashing Hill Country but its trend is farther south. We are only 6 days out so it’s not fantasy land by any means.

Overnight Canadian joined the Gfs with ice down to the Gulf coast. Yuck.

Yeah. Creeping a little farther south. I don’t have poop to do next weekend so I’m okay with it depending.

Somebody to the north is going to win the snow lotto by next weekend. But, there is nothing more disappointing than freezing rain and this has a warm nose bigger than Pinocchio. Yuck.

I'm glad the models backing off a bit bringing ice in our area, for now. But what a huge mess across the deep south :double:
