Disturbed Weather in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea
The 06z GFS forms a very small tropical storm in the extreme eastern Mediterranean in three or so days, that goes on to landfall over Tyre in Lebanon.

The GFS has it peaking at about 40 mph between Turkye and Cyprus today.

The ECMWF has it peaking south of Cyprus tommorow.

How ever as you can see from Meteosat 12 it is a hostile enviroment with wind shear,

Unfortunately, there were no more posts after this thread was created, and the system doesn't appear to have become sufficiently organized to have been given a name (official or otherwise).
Were there any observations/imagery (surface, satellite or radar) of interest later in the week?
