Snowfall in the Mid-Atlantics
SO far i have heard that thsi winter is going to be above normal in snowfall, and below normal in temperatures, can anyone back this up, and when will the first snowfall come, and how many inches is Virginia expected to get this winter, thanks

You hit the nail on the head in regards to Virginia ... Dependant on where you're located in Virginia will greatly determine the likelihood (or lack thereof) of snowfall during the course of a winter season ...
Places like Virginia Beach rarely see snowfall, while you go deeper into the Appalachain Chain, snowfall averages are quite impressive ... and locales (Hot Springs, VA) can get downright frigid during the course of the winter season ...

I ca back SF on that, Va Beach averages just over a trace of snow a year, while Norfolk only 3inches....but get away from the water and Richmond gets nearly a foot and Charlottesville close to 18 inches....so if I want snow, and I do not , i would have to leave Va Beach...and that aint happinin
