Interesting feature, looks like some low level spinning. Will be curious to see if it persists.

You're right?! A rather curious little fellow, huh? Can't deny the obvious rotation in the low to mid levels either. It has great outflow at the moment but this is so tiny, looks like it could easily be shredded if upper level winds turn volatile. There appears to be a North South elongated circulation primarily south of today's maintained (albeit limited) convection.

Compared to the twins that are leaving the scene, this appears like some Junior Varsity player decided to run out onto the field  I think it's fighting dry air conditions immediately to its north and west thus the difficulty of convection expanding. It's tapping into a rich moist air mass from its south but is so small, probably having a near impossible time modifying the environment around it. Still, if the convection could persist throughout the night then I could potentially see a scenario of this suddenly becoming a T.S.
Under the right conditions, something this diminutive could "pop" really fast. It could go poof just as fast.

And it’s already doing that  looks like it ate some dry air and threw out some outflow boundaries.

Here's the area in question it's the Bay of Campeche the place that can make something innocuous into a storm thanks to it's curved shape. Using GOES-19 Snow/Ice band to separate the high clouds (Grey) and low clouds (White) there looks to be a bit of a circulation down near the coast and up near Merida looks a bit chaotic to see any definite movement.

It still looks like something is trying to spool up in the Bay of Campeche. Surprised no mention at all by the NHC, no model support I guess...

The UKMET had had two runs in a row with a TC forming in the Bay of Campeche from this, which I posted, a couple of days ago. But since then it dropped it.

As we approach noon today, I'll be shocked if there is no mention on the next TWO. Looks quite interesting now.

Edit... no mention
