Never cancel summer, just delay. It's coming and the first 2 weeks of June look tolerable. Incoming dislike season for me so don't be surprised if any negativity is present. Summer heat sucks and I can't wait for late September.

Yeah the first round was kind of a bust here the other day so I'm curious to see if we can do better. Not even a half inch this month yet

I've seen this movie a few times, and it seems like every time it ends with a prolonged hot/dry spell (which is pretty normal, so I expect it to happen every year). Since I've moved to my current house about 8 years ago I think I've only seen a cooler summer with consistent good rain once - the very first year. I have seen quite a few June's with wet weather that quickly switches to July-Sept drought. Maybe this year will be more like that first year and we can avoid the 1-2+ months of death ridge/dryness this summer.

Had a nice 1.29" yesterday morning and yesterday afternoon after not expecting to get much. Really like seeing that WPC QPF forecast. Keep it coming.

I’m hoping that wind to the west of Dallas dies out before reaching the metroplex. The line doesn’t seem to want to weaken, though.

Yeah not saying there's going to be some relentless heatwave. Just that typical summer climo pattern will kick in week 2. Analogs suggest a hot spell in the midwest and Ohio valleys and the core won't be for us, but given time of year you're still talking 95-100F type temps which will be a step up. Looking like a normal summer so far. We're so used to exceptional start to heat so this 'normal' feels nice!

The key in late June and July is to continue on and off chances for rain.

Some of the climate long range models, especially the NMME and CANSIPS are really showing a wetter rest of june / july and august during the heart of summer , lots of 2021 summer analogs being talked about on X by some, im actually confident the death ridge will not be making texas its permanent home this summer, probably a near average summer temperature wise with above normal odds of precipitation

That storm approaching Lubbock has produced several tornadoes so far. On a dangerous track, and looks like it's about to drop another one based on radar
