Ended up with a tornado warning here (north of Tulsa) earlier but it never really looked all that threatening. The MCS itself though was surprisingly weak, had hardly any wind but did have some nice lightning and a good downpour.

If we had a bit stronger shear and SRH, this could have been a significant localized tornado outbreak for central and southern OK. Still ended up being quite the day though for a 2%.

Active severe weather/MCS pattern looks to continue for the next few days.

Not that I'm complaining, but not much to write home about here in Ponder.

Edit: Severe Thunderstorm Warning for my area........

Received over 2 inches from the storm today. The front has made it through with NW winds gusting to 30+ mph.

Storms moving into DFW.

Somehow the line isn’t filling in and the urban core in Dallas and Tarrant may not get much rain at all. That’s surprising but anything that helps my backyard finish drying out is welcome.

The cell originally headed this way was warned at first, but apparently now it's not.

Still got a decent pop of wind at the onset though.

we had a tiny little cell pop right on top of us before the line came through or it would have been a complete shutout.

Get as much rain as you can the next 1-2 weeks.

I’m really not too concerned yet about any death ridge parking itself over us for a long extended period of time.

Longer range models have been indicating south TX could see closer to normal temps and possibly above normal rainfall during the second half of June. The ridge could be far enough north to bring southern areas easterly flow which would open us up to any tropical waves moving westward across the Gulf.

Yeah I'm also not feeling like this summer is gonna be crazy bad tbh and the hurricane season analogs I saw the other day were unsettled here most of the summer too

I mean we do live in the south so it'll probably still be miserable at some point but I just want a different summer than we've seen the last few years. Okay last year was a little better but 22/23 were horrible

LCRA Hydromet map showing some nice 6 hour rainfall totals over the Colorado watershed; Almost 5" over the San Saba, lesser amounts over Llano and Pedernales rivers. This combined with the moderate rains over the past week or so out there (so the dry areas allow runoff instead of soaking it up) bodes well for the Highland Lakes, I would think.

It feels nice outside. It’s almost noon and the temp is only 65 in June. :)
