Main system is just a small s/w coming ashore on the Oregon Coast Sunday evening. It’ll then strengthen substantially around Las Vegas on Tuesday. At the same time, the 2nd s/w that’ll phase with the main system (and reinforce the cold air aloft) will come onshore in British Columbia Tuesday as well

That Super Bowl storm wasn’t etched in stone for several days as I recall. Ntxw and Portastorm outdueled Heat Miser (at least that is how I remember it! ) and the rest is history.

According to local mets my area in SE Tx is out of the mix for snow/ice. That is great but they usually don't talk up anything even if it is going to happen. Any info besides cold.

Yeah it's supposed to be mixed precip more sleet over time until sometime in the morning and then the blizzard hits towards lunchtime

That's the big question everyone is still trying to figure out when does it changeover at the airport... Closer to sunrise and yeah a foot might happen(which again it's been 60 years...)

Its surface temps are also a couple degrees cooler at that time than the gfs, about in line with the icon
