Nearly 2 months in, and the general expectation of season activity has been remarkably consistent for how active the outlook has been. Currently, the average stands at 22.9 named storms, 11.8 hurricanes, and 5.5 major hurricanes, with an average ACE of 199.5. These all remain record highs for the poll, coming ahead of 2006 in all storm count categories (and 2010 for ACE, as guesses for ACE began after 2008).

I'll probably submit another guess after the NMME forecast is available on or after May 8.
