This eclipse tomorrow is ok, but honestly I am excited about the total eclipse in April. That is rare to get one right over you and will be pretty darn cool.
Look at the shadows through trees and leaves, if you have any left, and they will be crescent tomorrow.
It's a mind trip.
Yep!

The ENS are now following up the Alaskan ridging with some cold air moving southward after a warmup.

This is extremely ridiculous. Feels more like a La Nina.
Imo, the -pdo is really not allowing the El Niño to couple to the atmosphere, which the pdo is extremely negative for this time year. Hopefully more true Niño conditions eventually

I mean, this weather is beautiful, very good outdoor patio weather no doubt. I would just feel a lot better about the chamber o' commerce conditions if we had ideally 10-15 more inches of rain in the bank and and a steady and rising flow of water into our system of lakes. I think the population tends to forget the water situation when the weather turns cooler. Easier to think about when it's in the 90s and not raining, vs. the 40s and 50s and not raining.
Seems like every time we get rain it just quenches the dried out soils between rains before it's able to run off. Guess this is the new norm. I have a rain barrel, but I guess we all need to invest in whole house rainwater collection systems; have rebates and incentives like when solar panels came out. Of course it has to rain for that to work.lol Cedar Park has rebates for people that have rain barrels. I got mine back in 2009, years ago. Guess I can still claim it(?).lol

Beautiful weather, but hope we can get some more rain before our local burn bans return so I can enjoy bonfire season!

Latest Euro Weeklies show a wet pattern emerging in a week to ten days. November finally a wet month?

Anyone know where I can get archived radar data? I just found out my roof has damage and trying to see which storms were the likeliest cause to help me file a claim.

38.5 this morning. Unfortunately this weekend is gonna suck with it back in the 90s. Ready for actually cool/cold weather to stick around for quite a while.

39F at my house this morning.
GFS is pretty insistent that someone in the southern plains is going to get dumped on next week.
