That seems like grasping at straws honestly. Will the cold wake even still be there by then?

Yeah, now it looks like it could be a hindrance to the storm at large haha. Like and hour after I was saying it was good.

I.. see zero reason why that band would in any way inhibit Lee; microwave data already showed that it is NOT a separate and competing entity. It is a band which is wrapping directly into Lee's center.

NHC says WNW @ 290* but I am not so sure.

When I click that link it says "This post may contain erotic or adult imagery. By continuing, you acknowledge that you are 18+ years of age."

Not sure if imgur just puts that disclaimer on everything now, or if they've read enough of Josh Morgerman's descriptions of tropical cyclones.

That is interesting, how can I get GIFs to show up like other people do it?

Lately I've been using https://imgbox.com/ without experiencing any issues.

I must be honest, at this point I would be surprised if Lee "only" got to 150mph given some of the conditions forecast.

Normally I’d see it as a potential obstacle, as it seems pretty persistent. However, Lee’s structure is already so impressive and core convection seems to be expanding at the same rate as the band. Shouldn’t be a hinderance to at least steady intensification over the next 24 hours, and I doubt it will still exist by the time of the expected RI phase in a day or two

Longtime locals on the Space Coast won’t start prepping for Lee until it’s past Hispaniola. We’ve been in the cone so many times to no avail that we like to wait until a couple days out to activate our plans. I just don’t see Lee being an issue unless it somehow finds its way to the Bahamas.

nhc even suggest they could adjust the intensity upwards in future updates......wow!

They're pretty much saying that this is going to pull a isabel or Irma.

CLASSIC Atlantic "6" configuration. Suggestive of West motion. In time that'll change & evolve but for now peeps in the Islands need keep their head on a swivel

So far Lee seems to be tracking slightly sw of the forecast. It’ll be interesting to see if that changes anything down the road.

Classic dominant intense CB scene progressing to a CDO type. Should be a hurricane soon.

I'm a little surprised that we don't have more posts on this board because this storm could get real ugly, real soon.

It's not going to happen, unless somehow it ends up being a USA threat.... What you see right now is as busy as it's going to get, unless somehow the storm defies all of the models and ends up being a USA threat(highly unlikely), but never say never in the world of weather.

Not much doubt now which it is.

If it was a lady's name it would be Leigh

Not necessarily. Catwoman (in the original TV Batman series) was played by Lee Meriwether...

Concur. I have a female family member named "Lee". Although this Lee will be considerably more ferocious than her...

I keep seeing posters comment on due west movement here. However, Lee has already gained a whole degree of latitude from 15z to 3z. Seems right on track to me.

Certainly an interesting structure with that huge curved band. I'm thinking we're still a day or so away from really seeing it take off but once that northeasterly shear lightens up and it can fully develop a core it'll go ballistic
