Possible snow and cold in northeast?

#1 Postby James5o4 » Sun Nov 16, 2003 11:37 pm

Does anyone know if the gfs is still showing a possible snow event here in the northeast and the nyc area? I heard that the model was showing it but i have a feeling it flopped. From what Joe Bastardi's been saying, the temps would be relatively warm in the east for about the next 10 to 15 days and then it would get abruptly cold, and that snows are possible in the nyc area by the first few days of december. Do u guys agree?

Well it wants to then it flops out and gives up the cold air retreats leaving nothing but modified cool air in its wake. Say 40's nothing majorly cold and nothign to truely support snow at this point or by the first few days of Dec.

Not that I am trying to be pessimistic or negative, but I don't see any major snow events or Nor'easter-type storms for the mid-Atlantic and Northeast before early December. I am hoping that we get some below normal temps by mid-December.
