From NWS SJ flash flood watch bulletin...

AT 515 PM...SATELLITE IMAGES SHOWED LOW PRESSURE CENTERED ABOUT 180
MILES NORTHEAST OF ST. THOMAS...AND A LOW LEVEL TROUGH STRETCHING
FROM JUST SOUTHEAST OF ST. CROIX NORTHEASTWARD INTO THE NORTHERN
LEEWARD ISLANDS. THESE TWO WEATHER SYSTEMS WILL BEGIN TO AFFECT THE
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS AND PUERTO RICO TONIGHT INTO MONDAY...BRINGING
UNWANTED RAINFALL TO THE REGION.

SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN BOTH COVERAGE AND INTENSITY
TOWARDS MIDNIGHT...AFFECTING ALL OF THE U.S. VIRGIN
ISLANDS...CULEBRA...VIEQUES...AND THE NORTH HALF OF PUERTO RICO.
NUMEROUS SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT...LEADING TO
WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES BY MONDAY MORNING.
LOCALLY HIGHER RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED.

Yep, it's a coming back ... a ridge in the SW Atlantic is temporarily serving to drive the system back towards the WSW before the next trough finally sweeps it out ...

This morning in San Juan it is raining steadily sometimes more heavy than other times but the effect is the same,traffic jams,flash floods once again in portions of the island,dark skies,fresh winds and high surf.

Just had a call from St. Croix, where it is raining again also...hear the downtown area is just a big mud pit. Raining steadily here on Culebra and looks like it will be for quite awhile. Yet another day without being able to work for many including myself...I'm going back to bed :(

I just saw this week's forecast from the National Weather Service and it doesn't look promising at all. When will we have consecutive days of good weather again? :roll:

I'll probably fix a big "asopao" for tonight and the rest of the week. :)
