2 "MUST" reads!

#1 Postby azsnowman » Mon Nov 17, 2003 7:16 am

I received my December Readers Digest in the mail Saturday......you have GOT to pick up a copy, there are some OUTSTANDING articles in it, from people surviving tornadoes to some of the BEST jokes, recipes the RD has EVER printed. Now....there's a book my father in law sent us a few weeks back, you know I don't like to read, but THIS book has actually MADE me stop what I'm doing, sit down and read a few chapters a day...it's"Longitudes and Attitudes" Exploring the World after September 11th. The Author, Thomas L. Friedman, winner of the 2002 Pulitzwer Prize for Commentary...he's the Foreign Affairs Colummnist for the New York Times. PLEASE......if you get the chance, BUY this book!! I've "NEVER" recommended a book before, so this "HAS" to be GOOD!

OH.......the Readers Digest has a tribute to our troops in Iraq, it's a FANTASTIC photo tribute, some photos will bring a tear to your eyes.
