Welp, they pull a late upgrade to bring DFW into the ENH. Ice down the beer and head to the pool :sun:

It is the kiss of death for DFW. The most intense humidity we've ever felt in DFW and we can barely squeeze a drop.

That’s a big bump south. But, skeptical.

Despite pretty good looking conditions, updrafts are struggling. Just firing and then either dying or splitting and dying.

20z HRRR shows a bit of a cap and some dry air around 700mb across DFW, I guess that is enough to keep things in check.

It’s already here in South Texas, thank God the sea breeze kicked in.

Coverage isn't awful out west of DFW but need to start seeing some cell mergers and upscale growth.

Sorry for spamming the board; I didn't realize that West Texas tornado was going to be so photogenic, or I would have put all those tweets in one post

Just wow, one of the top photogenic tornadoes of the year

HRRR continues to be adamant that this convection won't make it into DFW.

Odd, 3 westward moving clusters of storms, and only one is rapidly weakening, the one approaching DFW. Looks like you will have to leave DFW and drive either north or south to see storms this evening.

The airport is at less than one inch of rain for the month and approaching 5" short for the year. However, we haven't really been in a "dry" pattern; storms have literally just refused to survive into DFW this Spring.
