I think the Wright has something to do with the North Carolina location as in possibly Wright Bros or Wrightsville beach.
It is a board that sprang from nowhere back in early 2001, I do not believe the founders ever inteneded for this non pay portion of their service to become as populated as it is and as such not much attention is paid to it either in monitoring or even keeping it fully operational. I stayed a long time because I did not mind engaging in weather spats and weather point counterpoints. However, when persons who make no weather commentary at all come on there and deride day after day and state that it is their free speech to do so, it became too much. I was driven off in a firestorm of over two dozen hammerings because I missed a day 4,5,6 forecast by 10 degrees on day 6 and you would have though I had just commited the most outrageous bungle of the century. There are a large number of sociopaths over there, who have no interest in weather, but have found a spot to spit their spew and venom and the powers that be have no interest in regulating it and as such I have no interest in putting forth a good faith effort only to have to fend off 10-20 persons with real mental problems. One definition of insanity is giving a socially acceptable rationale for an act that is socially unacceptable; it is credo there for many.

can't say i have ever visited it. not all sites accessable from these computers, luckily storm2k is, I think I'd have gone nuts without it to keep company

I second what Ticka says and as well i am glad to see weather53 here as well which imo should benifit all!!!!!!!! I will be looking for some obs from you btw hunter especially when it turns downright cold up that way!!!;)lol.........

How did you know? This is the second thing (non-weather related; there are some of those, too) that has come up on the boards that seems like I (and others) should of known right along. :-? :)
