"NO ONE, not even my best friend at the time, told me that I had this disgusting thing sitting in the middle of my chest......it wasn't until 5 HOURS later, when I took a break, that I noticed it right there in ALL it's glory, before God and WELL over 100 customers. Ever since then, when I blow my nose, I look down "LOL!"

I second what George said ... LOL!
Actually, they probably didn't think enough of it ... they probably thought it was a piece of fat off the meat ...

That would have to be the time I was in a Civil War re-enactment, came home, changed into MPD uniform, and spent all night driving through the "projects"...thinking that the cap I was wearing was my MPD cap.
After the shift changed, one of the clowns I worked with asked me, "What's that on your head?" I reached up, took "it" off...and found, to my horror, that it was a C.S. yellow-and-grey kepi! And all that night, no one said a WORD...

I read some of these this morning and wondered whether to post or not.
You guys are funny and if ya'll can share, I guess I can too.
Anyone been to Schlitterbahn in New Braunsfels? Well, it was rated the #1 water park on the Travel Channel. Anyway, I was there a few years ago and I love all the water slides...everything. I went down this one slide with a friend and it's only supposed to be one person to a mat. We went down feet first laying down, me in front, and we lost the mat on the way down during a flip and we were flipping all over banging into each other and the sides...not the intention...lol...I even took in a little water and I'm a swimmer. Anyway, by the time I landed in the pool of water, I came up and caught my breath and everyone was asking if I was ok and I coughed a little and said I was fine....everyone was staring...you know how that goes. Well, I thought they were staring to make sure I was ok....then I felt a breeze, noticed something didn't feel right and looked down...my top had been forced well above it's intended location by the pressure and while I was catching my breath, I was giving everyone a free show!! Can you imagine???
Ok, back to my lil corner to hide...

(flashers are in full effect tonight!)
ok, i have a million "power dork" moments but just about ONE HOUR ago, jami found something she isn't too happy with.
you see, we're having big troubles right now (so what else is new?) and last week while visiting my best friend, he gave me two rubbers for the "just in case" i decide to stray (which i don't intend to). it was more or less in humor but i took them and shoved them in my coat pocket like a souvenir and forgot about them. well, tonight while looking for my x-acto knife (which i frequently keep in my coat), she found those "ribbed for her pleasure" trojans. lol! needless to say i am in the dog house right now so this thread is perfect timing... p

There are some wonderful moments you've shared. Bronnie, all I can think of is that goofy yellow smiley face from Walmart commercials racing down the aisle and hovering over your exposed derriere with a big grin on his face...while your son knew EXACTLY what he had just done and loved every minute of it.
I've had a few, but one most embarrassing moment came the year I returned from Vietnam. I was substitute teaching for an eighth grade math class. While I was doing my best to present solution methods for particular problems on the front chalk board, I couldn't help but hear snickering around the room. I noticed a note being passed around from kid to kid. Rather than quietly walk back and pick up the note and throw it away, I instead asked the student to bring it up to the front of the classroom to me where I could read it. With a big grin, he did just that.
As I stood facing the class, they watched with great anticipation as I opened it up and read the message.
"Check it out, Teach's fly is wide open!!!!"
I turned my back, solved my problem, and then burst out laughing along with 25 other 13 year olds.
They also learned a scientific fact. There is a direct relationship between pulling up your zipper in public and the color of your face.

Alright I'll add to the laughter.
Many years ago when i was dating a girl , I was about 19, we were down at Duluth's lake walk and canal. Enjoying the evening watching boats go through the canal and I decided to show off by throwing rocks across the canal trying to hit the other side ( it was quite a ways across). I was getting them close but couldn't quite hit the other side so I tried one last time ( didn't know it would be my last) and really gave it my all. well as we watched and listened for the rock to either splash or hit concrete,as we listened, we heard a jingling sound in the air and then a splash. never did see the rock hit. a minute later I found out what that jingling noise was, it was my key ring that was in my coat pocket when I was throwing. it had my car keys(no spare), my keys to a convenience store(I was manager) keys to the safe, my bosses office key and a few others. oh was I up a creek.

here's another one that just happened today.
i am putting sheetrock up in a basement bathroom. Lowering the ceiling by about 6". I am using an 8' ladder to reach it and put screws in. i put up two full pieces yesterday then had to go to work last night, so today I put the last small piece up, the ladder(standing with legs extended is only about an inch from the ceiling) well you know that when you fold a ladder it gets taller than when it is at an angle with legs seperated. I couldn't get the ladder out of the bathroom because it kept hitting the ceiling when I tried to fold it,I tried tipping sideways same thing. Swore a few times then I took the last piece of sheetrock back off folded the ladder where it had room, got a stepstool and put the piece back up.
