I may have more videos coming out from this event, at least four of them! Two are normal, and two are super-slow motion.

Well we'll get ours eventually I think

Bro you live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It gets cold af there. You’ll get your snow lol

I live further south and I was colder than Tulsa for most of the day!

Trajectory of the deepest cold was further west of Tulsa. That’s why. But of course that’s not how it always works.

Well done with the Oklahomans with the early season snowfall. It can only go south from here on out I hope. I do believe that we will all get more chances in DJF. At least once per month. Thanksgiving looks normal but the rest of winter is remains to be seen. I like our chances.

Seems like I got lucky and right timing because the other side of the city had no snow at all. That was impressive for a minute for sure with those big flakes though. I was expecting more of a random flake mixed in tbh  which was how it started but as I kept driving south it was getting more and more interesting. No accumulation at my apartment when I got home an hour later

The dry fluffy stuff just can't compare to some good ole fat flakes

Got a nice 0.5" yesterday. Looks to be dry for the next week with nice cool fall weather - highs in the low 50's and lows in the low 30's.

Congrats on the snow! Competing with me on totals for the season. Although, they predicted a clear evening and sunny day, we woke up to 3" and still coming down. Not complaining!

Was showing a warm up during Turkey week for the longest, but it appears the pattern may continue to be stormy for the southern plains. Long range MJO wants to swing back towards 7, which is a good setup.

Phase 5 is a bad phase for colder weather, but if the MJO completely dodges it somehow, we may not see near normal temperatures for a long while.

18z NAM also looks relatively good Saturday.

NBC5 Rick Mitchell on his 5 o'clock report showed the possibility of some flurries early Saturday morning. Could get interesting. Something to wake up early for.

Some snowbands out in West Texas this morning. Don't be alarmed if y'all get a snow flurry or two.

TPV pushing down into the Great Lakes and a Coastal Low (actually offshore) is not a good combo for getting moisture northward.

Agreed, I'm thinking moisture will be suppressed south. Maybe some mix for Central Texas. North Texas will likely be very cold and dry Sat morning. Possible first 10s for rural areas.

There are some things I may never get, like this when the MJO is expected to be in Phase 7 at the same time, and when the AO, NAO, and PNA are all expected to be negative!

Would that not reload our Source Region for more cold air maybe around Christmas?
