Heading to bed, should wake up intime for 60+ winds and flooding here in Kissimmee. Oh and I have to report to work at 930am.

Nicole is attempting to build a eyewall close to the core as per the meso floater. Starting to tap into the OHC >75 j/kg associated with the gulf stream. It does seem to be moving faster to the WNW than it did over land. Hopefully this limits the time over the GS, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some intensification to 70 kt (over a very small area of the treasure coast marine zones) as the overall convective coverage within the eyewall increases.

Compared to a tight warm core system this is just a big sloppy beach eroding mess.

If there is any station that has a chance to get to hurricane force wind gusts this is it. Seems really exposed on a thin spit on A1A near Jensen Beach. Sustained winds 52 gust 62 has been reported so far. It's apparently only 4m high.

Looking at radar it appears that our storm is just about over for southern Martin county. The south and south west side doesn’t appear to have much to it.

Awaiting landfall. Western "eyewall" on approach. Heavy, howling gusts pushing against the shutters.

Winds gusting here in West Port St. Lucie but really a non event compared to previous storms. Very reminiscent of Irene in 1999. Unfortunately the immediate coast is taking a beating with the high tides and surge.

Agee. Not over yet though. Just had some strong gusts in satellite beach with power outages. Strongest winds I’ve seen in a while. Power came back on.

What's the best website to track weather obs? Curious to see what kind of winds make their way down to the surface here.
