nothing too impressive with the wind here yet. i don't think it ever will, being on the south side of this storm.

Just drove US1 home from juno to palm city. Lots of wind. It got heavier as I got to hobe sound. It was wet but no serious downpours. Just a steady drizzle.

Coming right at us with no protection on the house, in modeling we trust :D

If any part of that eyewall affects my house, my marriage is over because I said it was going north of here and this storm will cost me more than my house being leveled in a 5 :D

Maybe starting up the generator will win some brownie points.
The inverter generator is a big plus, quiet and sips gas.

Ocean looking nasty here in Juno Beach area. Jupiter waterways, etc. that link up to Loxahatchee backing up with water as wind driving water straight into Jupiter Inlet. Parts of Carlin Park flooded etc

Drove home from work (out early) from Ft. Pierce to Vero. Some gusts and rain so far. Stay safe everyone. :flag:

Core winds should make landfall over less than half a degree, that is a distance from Jupiter south to about Boynton beach that might be worth shuttering once we know the final track. Tropical storm force windfield is large to the north and may expand even further after landfall so a lot of people need to be ready for power outage heavy rains surge and flooding.

Latest recon pressure gradient is starting to tighten up again Abaco island didn't disrupt the inflow much.

Really sad what is happening in Daytona Beach, it will never be the same, there will be many buildings & houses that will have to be condemned and rebuilt back up from ground up.
I remember going to Daytona Beach after the hurricane season of 2004, that season's hurricanes all it took was a few feet of sand, nothing what we have seen this year from two weaker system. It makes you wonder about our climate over all.

"....... A private weather station on Elbow Cay, just
east of Great Abaco Island, reported a minimum pressure of 986.8 mb (29.14 inches) as the center passed near it"

Okay, and that private stations' reported wind was???
