Latest report of rainfall totals in Puerto Rico and the VI

Despite the system not becoming a tropical storm, tropical downpours for a prolonged period of time can sometimes be far worse and produce far greater totals than most tropical cyclones that last only a day or so ...

Yes SF floods are the main threat here in Puerto Rico even more than the winds that a tropical storm or a hurricane brings because of the mountains that are located in central PR that have the orografic effect to enhance precipitation that causes many mudslides and the rivers to go out of their banks rapidly and with that kind of rainfall that occured we can see the results.
