Light at the end of the tunnel for Puerto Rico?

Well the good news is that this broad low pressure will move northeast away from Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the northern leewards on friday as the discussion from the San Juan NWS says but the bad news is that the weekend will not be too pleasant because another trough this one a frontal one will arrive in the caribbean and although the rain will not be widespread as this event that 20+ inches has fallen in portions of the island now for the last 5 days any shower that will fall in the days ahead with the grounds that are very saturated will cause flash flooding so let's see what happens.

I hope to see the sun on friday and the weekend. :)

Yes the situation tonight is a very grave one in all of Puerto Rico as this system doesn't want to go away. The doors of the dams are open and that will agravate the situation on top of what we had experienced so far those 20+ inches at portions of the island.

An update this morning that I can tell all here is that the rains haved decreased for most of Puerto Rico however still there is light rain in a few areas. The sun wants to come out in San Juan but still high clouds are hanging over the city.I expect to at least later in the day to see the sun.The forecast for this weekend is for a partial drying trend but with the saturated grounds we can expect some more floodings but not the magnitud as in the past 5 days so there is light at the end of the tunnel for Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the leewards.

Luis - I am so glad to hear that this weekend is expected to be dry. I think you could use a few weeks of dry weather.
