This has been a tropical storm of rain and no wind indeed as you look at those rainfall totals from over 23+inches and downward that are in the link. Those numbers compare with hurricane Hortense and hurricane Georges.Sadly 1 person has died so far at this astronomical rain event.
A tropical storm type of rainfall affected Puerto Rico

It isn't a tropical storm without winds ... but the tropical connection is clearly evident with those rainfall totals ...
The definition of a Tropical Storm - closed circulation with a 1 MIN. maximum sustained wind of 39-73 mph -

Joe B was Correct.
Sorry for all the JOe B haters. He was correct again. He goes out on a limb and misses like everyone but when he is correct he pins it to T.

NO one ever said JB didn't go a good job with the forecasted rains, but b/c of the times, especially this year, JB has had a horrible tropical period this year overall ... Larry into Florida, Henri as a hurricane into Florida, blah, blah, blah ...
But JB really nailed the rainfall amounts for PR, I give him credit where credit is due ... however, I think I beat him to the punch (not with the rainfall forecast) but the overall idea that that area would be under the gun almost a week ahead of time ...

Yes SF you were consistent for a week about this as you brought all the models information about it.

Thanks for the update Cycloneye. Guess we know what we need to make the Weather Channel hit list ;) I was more used to it living in the VI's but sheesh! I wouldn't expect reports on Culerba but PR is BIG!
Woke to no rain, then a light rain that is just now ending. Crossing our fingers and looking for sun. Best to those on the big island and east and south of us..
