KDFX is down until 8/30. KGRX went down yesterday.

Wow, I'm up to 6.70. Did not expect this after the slow start yesterday and missing out on earlier rain the past few days.

I-635 is completely shut down for flooding, I have found this TXDOT camera photo of it, it's facing north.

I have used the TexMesonet to track the rainfall, it's not real time. And there is still more coming.

ETA: TexMesonet now has DFW International at 8.3 inches

Rain bomb indeed. We aren’t getting much up here in Denison, but I think that’s ok this time.

And I think this puts to rest any ideas about a forecast bust…

I think this surely is the most rain I have ever had in 24 hours at this house.

Every 30 seconds-1 minute it adds .02 in my home station.

I am over 8 inches in like 16 hours....

Rain bomb is a great name for it. Good to see it but never want it this fast.

Confirmed tornado by law enforcement in Winona, TX. Moving northeast. Seems to have weakened though.

This should end up the most ever in DFW airport history. We're closing in on it.

Bubba's hi res models gave the hints. Euro saw the rain bomb way out, not perfect numbers but to hit the nail in the corridor it did was pretty impressive.

A Flash Flood Emergency may be needed.

I'm surprised that the NWS did not issue it yet.

Saw pic from my kid's teacher about them taking cover, crazy, I did not expect anything severe today.
