Global Warming

#1 Postby PTrackerLA » Mon Nov 10, 2003 2:58 pm

Does anyone know where I can find information supporting claims that global warming is not real and occurs naturally. What makes me think of this is the "day after tomorrow" movie and I would like to see information of the Earth's past climate change. Thanks in advance.

No doubt about it.....SOMETHING is definately going on!

I'm always amazed at how many "fog delays" that happen here......NEVER had anything like that in this area when I was growin' up!......p

Its called the climatological Cycle. The climate moves in cycles just like the ENSO and Hurricane Activity. Looking back through the fossil record there have been periods of hot and cold climate change. How did the ice age happen? Mass extinctions? Its all a cycle.

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.

Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged

Opinions my own.

In fact, there is some evidence that global warming does take place, but it is very short-lived (20 years or so)...and is actually a precusor to a new Ice Age.

The reason for this is that warming would slow the oceanic currents to a standstill....no warmth moving north, no icbergs breaking off, but rather solidifying into heavy glaciation and travelling southward at incredible speed...much faster than earlier models have proposed, perhaps in as little as 30-50 years.

Yes, buy your UV blockers...and a LOT of furs.

Bill - I have heard the same thing. I am not sure if I fully accept it, but I will make sure to stock up on extra blankets just in case we are headed for the next ice age.

Why thank you Stormchaser!! Good explanation!

It's 2:00 p.m. (58 degrees) here now and the TV keeps flashing "Severe Storm Warning; High Wind Advisory"......can't help but notice the forcasters are gettin' excited about today's weather!

My son has been out in the yard all day raking leaves......hmmm.....perhaps we should have waited since the heavy winds will just shove them down the street!......... p
