YAHOO! I get to go get my learner's permit next month! After that it's gonna be about 6 months but I will hopefully finally get my license...there's one barrier however...I have what they call Arnold Chiari Malformation...here's a description:

BTW I've never mentioned it(the Chiari Malformation) before, b/c I wasn't sure of the type of things that might be said, but you know what? I don't care what you think of that, b/c you don't really KNOW me...don't know how I am in real life...

PS I'm not attacking, I'm just stating how I feel about things...about what you all might think...

*shrugging shoulders* I hope no one would think anything bad about it, if that's what you mean. I don't think this is the type of group you're dealing with here, Jeremy. :) You do a great job of expressing yourself and that shouldn't change. And now, you'll be able to drive soon! Just beware of those KY drivers.

Hope you pass with flying colors - and as for the other thing, we accepted you for the way you've presented yourself here on this board and telling us about your problem doesn't change the way we think about you! :)

I was more or less afraid that I would be made fun of b/c my brain is more or less damaged...called names like retard or stupid idiot...but I guess that was paranoia...still, I'll be anxious to see what others DO think, but I really don't know that I care...if you think I'm stupid, well, that's your opinion, I happen to think I'm smart...

Ok that is better...BTW I for that matter don't like the term "cripple"...I had one teacher use that term last year...and I let him know what I thought of it...

I gotcha. :D

As soon as I hit post on the first one I went back in and said that was the wrong word choice- unfortunelty I wasn't as fast to correct as you were to read :) I'm not big on the word cripple either.

Good luck with your exams, Jeremy. As for your condition, no one has the right to make fun of something you have no control over. I consider you a better friend. You come across as an intelligent teenager to me. :)

For those interested, after clicking the link Jeremy posted in above, you can read check out "Asperger's Syndrome" [the condition I have] by clicking the, "Ooops... Wrong Planet Syndrome" banner at the bottom of the page. The background of the site looked familiar and then I found that link.

Jeremy. I have had a chance to get to know you through your posts and chats. You.. are one of the most driven and intellectual people.. I have the pleasure to know... I have no doubt what so ever..that you will pass your DL exam and any other test life throws at you. As for anyone choosing to call you names or ridicule you because of a condition you were born with..well then thats their stupidity. Ignorance is everywhere but never gets you anywhere..I wish everyone in the world could see that. Good luck Bud and God Speed

Jeremy, Rainband is so right, ignorance is everywhere and you'll always have to put up with those stupid a$$es as you"re going thru life.

However, I don't think you'll find them here at Storm2k. If they are here I think this wonderful admin crew would weed them out in a minute.

You may have some unknowing people who thoughtlessly stick their big foot in their mouth. (I've been know to do that myself sometime) But no one here would intentionally hurt you. You're safe here. We all are. ((Hugs))

You are a smart guy. More important is the fact that you're kind and sensitive to others feelings.

I really think you'll pass that driver's test, but, ya know what??? - Look at some of the drivers out there would ya???? They're NUTS!!!!!

Take care and good luck my friend

I've never heard of ACM before. As many have said already, we never knew that you had any type of ailment. We have alot of members here that come from all walks of life and alot of different health issues. We are all here to support one another and actually the link that you gave us to read about ACM was very helpful and educational. EDUCATION is the best way to combat ignorance. Keep sending us information about it or tell us about how you are dealing with it. We want to be there for you and also learn.

I'm sure that you will do well on your test. It's an exciting time of your life! :D
