Nothing here at UNT campus. Just cold, dry and some eager college students to start Spring Break.

2.5 inches at my house, I have videos, but they need to be processed further before they can go here.

Wow, pretty incredible back to back busts from the model world....almost 1/2 inch QPF b/w the two events forecast and DFW ended up with 0.02 QPF total :double: Fairly worthless

Sleet has been mixing in with the rain on & off but no signs of snow. QPF probably verified out here with a couple of heavier showers..

OH please. Getting flurries at all today is a blessing. I’ve recorded 0.00” of precip.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Flurries are the biggest tease. Had some moderate freezing rain earlier this morning on elevated surfaces. So tired of being underdone on the qpf. I mean nowadays you pray for at least half of what’s projected but when it keeps coming up 4-5 times short it gets old. Haven't seen an over performing event in ages it seems.

Ironically it's the anniversary of the 93 blizzard over there when it snowed all the way to the coast even into the Panhandle

OK, now can we move on to spring? GFS indicates 70s and 80s for Houston for the next couple of weeks starting Monday. That'll be a welcome change.

Well, that's it. At least we got something this winter, but would have liked a bigger snow. On to spring, which will feature virtually no rain or severe weather and the start of megadrought and early summer.

We probably have 1 more cool down to pass once the final warming of the PV occurs and the Arctic disperses what's left and shift to the summer regime (we typically call it the Easter cold snap.) Fully expecting a dry spring and summer. The signal is pretty strong.

It's about time we had an early summer, last 2 years pools didn't warm up enough to swim until after Memorial Day, really early June. We've had a few years of longer cold/winters. Why the no severe weather though?

I don't remember who said it a few pages back, but it's gotta rain to have storms for severe weather. :spam: There will still be some severe weather most likely, even if it is drought conditions. Just below normal. But it just takes one event for a season to be memorable.

Meanwhile in Longview, it's 35.6F at my house with 0.17" rain measured so far, and still raining. My weather station has recorded some lightning strikes in the area but I haven't heard any thunder. I'm still not expecting much snow... if we even see snow.
