Yea, widespread 1-2" with 4"+ lollipops (I have no clue what that means but the snow weenies back East always used the term lol)

Would be a fitting way to end this winter season…after striking out almost all season, finally a coup for the Euro

There was a time you could print that Euro map and hang it on the wall. Now people laugh off the Euro. Come on King! Pull yourself together for once and take back that crown!

Well the Euro did kind of capture the mixing stuff the past couple of mornings.

We can grouch at the Euro for its record but knowing its deficiency being the warm of the bunch lately and it being colder can probably at least give some consideration.

If we get 1/4 of sleet instead of 2" of snow... I'll be pissed

The pure snow event has gone away to ice now. Hard to get excited with that.

If maybe that could move south and maybe give 1-2 inches for me in Bell County, i'd be perfectly fine with 100 degree days in April.

WWA just north. So, they are more confident in something, but bigger impacts north of DFW.

A few degrees makes the difference between a bit of mix NW of DFW and a widespread quick inch or two across N and NE TX tomorrow. Surface trends up north today will tell a lot of the story.

Crews were out putting brine on 75 up through the High Five interchange this morning. Seems like a decent use for it (versus the 2/2 storm) - temps will be marginal and we won't have a lot of rain to wash it down the drain.

The KC area is getting more snow than expected. So, that’s something. Just need a bit more cold.

NAM has really changed its trajectory of UL Trough tomorrow, coming in deeper/further south.

This is a good 5h look for North Texas winter weather

This entire event hinges on 2 things, depth of cold with frontal passage, and amount of precipitation.

The WWA can easily shift south in the DFW metro if the depth of cold is greater than models are indicating as that will transition cold rain to mix of sleet/snow quickly allowing a greater chance of accumulations. We are still looking at less than a few inches at that, but it can be enough to cause some issues mainly with the overpasses.

This will be Winters last gasp before Spring starts setting in, plus the time change this weekend will make it feel more spring like. Regardless of what happens it will be COLD Friday and chilly Saturday so I will get to enjoy 1 or 2 more fires before closing up the fireplace till next season.
