What not to say after picking up phone.

#1 Postby TexasStooge » Mon Nov 10, 2003 8:58 am

Here are some things you shouldn't say or do after making/answering your call from home:

1. Hello, this is McDonald's, may I take your order
2. Hello, can you hear me now?
3. (From "I Love Lucy") Hello, no this is the City Dump, you got the wrong number.
4. (Not knowing who it is) WHAAAZZZZZUUUUUUPPPPPP???!!
5. We're sorry, your call cannot go through, will you please go away?
6. Hello, nobody here right now, just leave your name and number and I'll call you back! (Hangs up)
7. WHO ARE YOU???!! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME????!!!!
8. Hello, here it is as requested...(Puts mouthpiece of phone next to speaker and plays rap/rock music real loud on it)
9. (From Scary Movie) I'm in the house, do you know where I am?

Or like that one scene from Seinfeld where Kramer answers the phone and says different movie titles and then goes...for one particular movie press #1, another press #2, etc!

The two we do at home for fun (Only friends and telemarketers call *grins*)

"Paco's tacos. Paco speaking."

"City Zoo. Head orangutang speaking."

Cracks people up every time... except the telemarketers- who get very comfused.

LOL, I'll have to remember that one for the occasional telemarketer who still gets through.
