Solar Eclipse

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Sun Nov 09, 2003 6:35 pm

Does anyone know when the last one occurred? I was in elementary school during one in the 70's. I do not remember another one after that. When will we have another?

There was one when I was in elementary as well, probably 4th grade so I would say back in 1993-4 ish? That's about as good as my memory will serve me now!

A solar eclipse on Christmas Day 2001, rings a bell.

I was in 7th period (last period) class my sophomore year in high school [late 1993 or early 1994] when there was a partial one... which I believe was over half and it got somewhat dark. Some classes were allowed outside, mine was one of others that weren't.

Partial Solar Eclipse: Christmas Day 2000

There were partial solar eclipses on Friday, December 14, 2001 just before sunset and Sunday, June 10th, 2002 a few hours before sunset; (both times in the eastern U.S.)
