Week 60 Final Results - Congratulations to ColdFront77!

#1 Postby Martinsville Weather » Sat Nov 08, 2003 9:15 pm

Congratulations to ColdFront77 for winning this contest! Tom led the entire week, really pulling away on days 4 and 5 and won by an impressive 12 degrees. Congratulations again, ColdFront77! Good luck to everyone for Week 61! :)

Well we've come to the end of an era. Okay, not quite, but the first chapter in this contest has come to a close. Thanks to everyone who has forecasted during the first 60 weeks of this contest. Congratulations to all the winners, especially Tom, who just picked up his 18th win. That is a 30% winning average, and he didn't even participate for the first few months! Good luck to everyone in the newly redesigned contest which starts on Monday. You will be forecasting highs, lows, and precipitation chance for two cities (plus highs and lows for your local city) each day (5 days a week, like it is now). Please read the rules (www.martinsvilleweather.com/contest/rules.html) of this new contest before participating because there have been quite a few changes. Let's make the Forecast Contest better than ever!
Note: I gave up on the trial at WWBB. The trial at Storm2k will continue through week 61, then I will evaluate the situation and decide whether or not to continue the contest based on how many people are participating at Storm2k.
