We have a lot of clouds here too right now. I hope they clear out...

Very cloudy here in St Lucie County, too. It's doubtful we'll be able to see it. I'm still hoping....

There aren't many showers (and thunderstorms) across central Florida this afternoon. So, the chances of the clouds breaking up in areas of the region that are mostly cloudy and even cloudy is pretty high.

Besides, we only need the eastern sky to be the clearest. :)

Well I wont see anything because a trough is passing thru the island and there is cloudy skies and showers. But maybe at 8:06 PM a window opens to see that moment when the eclipse is going to be total.

Why the moon appears huge when it rises: The Moon Illusion

My mother just took a look at the moon about two minutes ago, she also said the left side "has started." (My parents and I saw it a half hour ago).

I am going to look now, myself. :D
