And also the discussion from the San Juan NWS says that something of a closed circulation low may form as a wave moves into the eastern caribbean and it would not be crazy to think about it because the upper trough now affecting the caribbean will weaken and an anticyclone will build in the eastern caribbean but here in Puerto Rico there may be problems with flooding so I will keep all here informed about this rainy event here.

Stormsfury has been bringing us for some days those model links :) and I am starting to think that the 2003 season will have one more system. :)

it may have 1 more system Luis.. and if it comes near PR you'll probably get some rain. The countdown is now 22 days :) Lets' see what happens

Well John it will be plenty not some but what we have to watch is a possible low forming in a couple of days.

No bahamaswx it is a wave now east of the islands not what we are seeing now south and southeast of Puerto Rico.

Yep, that's the one I'm talking about currently east of the islands ... A large flareup tonight and other smaller area just east of that ... both of those are progged to begin to show some vorticity in the coming days.

Rain,rain,rain,rain and more rain for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands today,tommorow and tuesday as 3 systems are in the area an upper trough to our west in the mona channel,a surface trough to our east moving west and the tropical wave east of the island.There is a flash flood watch in effect for most of Puerto Rico today that likely will be extended for tonight as I see things evolve.I will keep all informed on the rain event unless the power goes.That wave is gaining convection SE of Puerto Rico so I am watching that and see if a closed low forms.

So far no big flooding has happened in Puerto Rico but if that wave moves NW we can expect tons of rain so we will see what happens and also if conditions become favorable for the wave to organize.

Goodluck to everyone in Puerto Rico this is somethign to truely keep an eye on for sure. And becarefull and be prepaired if it does happen to flood. Dont wanna be caught off guard.

Still we expect another round of rain in comming days as the wave moves thru the area but I hope it doesn't intensify near the island.
