You could make the argument that Henri looks slightly better than Grace at the moment. Those recent model trends might jolt some people living in the Northeast.

With TAFB at T3.5, not that likely even if justified.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

I definitely don't like the trends.

It has been 30 years since a hurricane has hit New England.

I thought that Bob in 1991 made landfall as a hurricane over New England . . .

And Superstorm Sandy in 2012 as a Post-Tropical cyclone . . .

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

1991 was 30 years ago. I wish it wasn't, but it is.

It doesn't feel like that 1991 was 30 years ago, it felt like 18-24 years ago . . .

Is there a link with the TAFB estimates? SAB is public but I'm not sure about TAFB.

It's somewhere in the ACTF if I recall correctly. Was discovered couple years ago.

I do apologize to take this off topic but for all a little laugh, and to no offense at all. Your age says 17, how would you know what 18-24 years felt like! unless you goofed the age on purpose, I'm sorry but I laughed out loud at work when I read that post. Anyways looking ahead to 18z and 00z guidance hopefully we get better consistency in determining locations. Just spoke with cousin living on Long Island and he said he is not worried. Like someone said earlier It doesn't happen often so a lot of guards are probably down.
