hi
I don't know if anyone here can help me
friends of mine were sailing in the caribbean.. ( we are located at 18.1 North
and 63.1 West)
they are sail a lot in the Notrtheast USA and they sometime navigate by the stars . they are familiar with the location of the stars and constelaltions in the northeast sky. Everything in the caribbean is at a differnt location since we are closer to the equator, I guess
I once had a web site where you could put in your latitude and longitude and you would get a chart of what the night time sky in your area looks like.
is anyone familiar with this and has the URL?
I know this is a little off topic but I know you all are very smart concerning the tropics so I thought maybe I could post it here
thanks
a little off topic but can you help me find the stars?

Try Sky & Telescopes' Sky Chart. You can change your location to any latitude/longitude and zoom in all over the sky:
