What will be the First Major Hurricane Name?

Gonna go with Ida here; of course I had to pick the I name just because, well you have to beware of the I for a reason...

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.

I'm actually going with Fred as it doesn't seem like activity will resume until the second half of August.

Henri or Ida, second half of August. Could be a pretty impactful one too

Either Grace or Henri, depending on if there is subtropical development before the tropics/MDR really get going in the first half of August. I think that the first AEW/MDR TC of August will be kind of a sacrificial storm that’ll struggle but clear the way for a wave behind it, which could have significant potential in the Caribbean. If something forms in the subtropics before then, my prediction would be Henri; if not, then it’s Grace.

Good ones. I should have limited this discussion just to the Atlantic. Do y'all have any picks for the Atlantic this year?

I think it'll be soon, perhaps even Grace or Henri. And otherwise I'm betting on the dreaded I storm, Ida this year.
