Probably like a game of pinball on multi ball mode. Maybe we can get even more ridiculous than last year.

Talk about having to keep our heads on a swivel LOL, huh??

I've noticed this on Satellite on Windy . . .

And it's labeled as a tropical wave, very close to Cape Verde . . . (Link: https://ocean.weather.gov/UA/Atl_Tropics.gif)

The waves this year are seriously impressive as they exit Africa, dating back to as early as May. One or more of those later in the season will probably find good conditions to develop and potentially wreck havoc...

Favorable conditions in the Atlantic should come back in about a week.

Nice wave time to see if it can survive the splashdown and hold together.

If waves come off this low and this impressive once the suppressive CCKW moves out and peak season begins, watch out.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

ITCZ hasn't migrated north yet but that didn't stop Elsa.
Hopefully the SAL will keep it from developing, or there will be trough shear near the Caribbean like there is now.
The North Atlantic Oscillation was favoring an Atlantic ridge that would keep storms moving west but that could change by mid August?

Edited the title to change the longitude location to 24W from the 8 PM discussión.

A tropical wave is in the E Atlantic from 05N to 21N with axis
along 24W, moving west at 15 kt. Numerous moderate to scattered
strong convection is noted from 07N-13N between 15W and 24W.

Doubt that wave will do anything, but the fact that the ITCZ is this active during a suppressive phase I really do think is a warning sign for the rest of this season.

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.

I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.

That is much farther north than waves have been developing this year. Elsa developed at a really low latitude.

Edited the location of wave to 28W according to the 2 PM TWD.

A Atlantic tropical wave is near 28W from 22N southward and
moving W at 5 to 10 knots. Scattered showers and a few
thunderstorms are seen from 05N to 09N between 25W and 29W.

Convection has significantly eroded due to SAL....

...TROPICAL WAVES...

An Atlantic tropical wave is near 30W from 22N southward and
moving W at 10 knots. Convection previously associated with this
wave has diminished, partially due to dry and dusty Saharan Air
Layer present in the vicinity.
