Well, here in WPB we are getting tons of rain. We have a flood advisory and a flash flood warning. The entire sky is overcast and the rain is constant. Big thunders in the backround too. Well, like I always say: Rainydaze are the best kinda days

A "coconut connection" on Thursday brought South Florida a morning rush-hour deluge more reminiscent of the dog days than the early fall. The late-season tropical wave dumped as much as 2 inches across parts of Palm Beach County in less than three hours, flooding streets and turning 15-minute commutes into hour-long ordeals.
"We're somehow back into the rainy season," National Weather Service meteorologist Jim Lushine said Thursday morning from suburban Miami.
A flood warning issued early Thursday expired at 10:15 a.m. The system seemed to bookend Palm Beach County, drenching upiter, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.
An onslaught of rain flooded two southbound lanes of Interstate 95 between Belvedere Road and Southern Boulevard Thursday morning, prompting the Florida Highway Patrol to shut the lanes down for roughly a 50-yard stretch around 9:30 a.m.
With only the far left lane open, southbound traffic was soon backed up to Palm Beach Lake Boulevard, according to FHP spokesman Lt. Tim Frith. Travelers are asked to avoid that strech of highway if possible. Construction crews were trying to pump off water.
"It's extremely dangerous for motorists to drive through," he said. "We're asking motorists to use extreme caution through that area."
Heavy rains also appeared to contributed to at least three minor crashes along I-95 in the Lake Worth and Lantana areas, Frith said. He added the wrecks did not result in any serious injuries or lane closures.
High water forced the closing of portions of roadways in Boca Raton, police spokesman Jeff Kelly said. He said areas included the 2300 and 3500 blocks of Northwest 2 Avenue, Glades Road and Executive Center Drive, and Airport Road.
Tri-Rail trains were running about 50 to 55 minutes behind schedule because lightning sturck a signal in Hallandale. Work crews were repairing the signal, but Tri-Rail officials did not know when trains would be back on schedule.
The Weather Service's Lushine said more heavy rain was possible for Thursday afternoon but that the system should move out into the Gulf of Mexico by the weekend, leaving behind clear but windy conditions.
