Very possible the NHC calls it by the next update. However they haven't been fans of systems with deepest convection displaced about 2-3 degrees away from the LLC.

Looks like a clear circulation to me. That along with the 2.5 should mean an upgrade to Elsa tonight.

Agree! which is why I booked my 10-day camping trip to the N Georgia mountains for this time period 6 months ago, and not Labor Day weekend.

We leave on Saturday...guess I may have to do some outside prep if current GFS track holds (which they hardly ever do this far out).

Hopefully we can get an ASCAT pass with tropical storm winds or some convective bursting in the next few hours so we can get a name in June (at least local time)

THis ASCAT had a lot of missing data/rain contamination.

hopefully the northern quad on the next two are not missing lol

pretty sure we will see TS winds.
