Seems a bit early for such a poll, but I'd go with early November.

Hmm, Idk this seems to be a hard question; I guess it's perhaps it's the timing of this poll given we still have like 5 months left until the end of hurricane season, but if I had to pick I'd go with mid-November. The background state of La Nina making a comeback (even if it is weak) as a possibility makes me believe that activity will last for a bit.

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.

There has not been a December storm in the Atlantic since 2013. Maybe below-average subtropical wind shear in December, which is shown by the CFS and CanSIPS, could make that happen.

I think it is odd that post-season storms were common from the late 1990s to the early 2010s (Nicole 1998, Olga 2001, Odette 2003, Peter 2003, Owen 2004, Epsilon 2005, Zeta 2005, Olga 2007, and 14L 2013), yet there has not been a single post-season storm since 2013. What happened? Are seasons starting and ending earlier than they used to?

You can try and will one into existence. I am not a lawyer, but I believe modifying the weather without government approval is illegal in the United States.

Seriously though, the name Alex seems to have been used for a lot of weird storms recently. Cat 3 in the subtropics in 2004, June Cat 2 in the BOC of all places with an anomalously low major-like pressure in 2010, and a freaking January hurricane in 2016... At this point I would feel really disappointed if Alex 2022 comes from your typical pre-season subtropical slop as most A storms have been these seasons.

Yeah, with the exception of 1998, Alex has always been an interesting one. That should be allowed to continue.
