Hopefully....
Hopefully 2003 is over. However, remember how 1999 was over and then Lenny popped. Keep an eye until 11:59 PM on November 30th. That swirl was fun to track while it was a threat. All winter we can track tropical systems all over the world, and make fun predictions on my annual "MY 2004 HURRICANE SEASON" forecasts. That's where I put when, where, and what each storm I think will do. Either way, 2003 was one hell of a season.

However it is very rare to have a tropical cyclone in the atlantic at January but it has happened in past centuries.

That's true guys.. Remember.. tropical season always has the possibility of going into overtime. If something is out there on 12/1.. even if it is no threat to land, that puts the tropical season into overtime.
It's been a few years since a season has gone into OT. It would be interesting to see.

The tropics can't know when 11:59:59 on November 30th marks the end of the season.
Olga was one of the National Hurricane Center incorrect declarations?
Olga could have had tropical characteristics as much as it didn't have tropical characteristics and would of been an early December system.

Olga was a pure rather potent 90 mph hurricane:

That visible satellite image of Olga indicates a true tropical cyclone.
