Well, here is the crazy part: I'm expecting a high of only 56ºF Tomorrow! It should be in the middle 70s this time of year! Not 50s like March . . .

We got rocked here in Ponder. Biggest hail I've seen personally.

That was crazy loud.

Be sure and up the quality when you watch it.

Thanks for sharing! Looks like golfball to maybe eggsize hail. Small dents on cars for sure, claims.

What do we win? Where do I claim it.......

Just goes to show you. I've been under enhanced and moderate outlooks. Go figure, IIRC we were just marginal and look what happened. I was late to my first Scout Den meeting as a newly trained Den Leader because it fell right when it was time to go.

57 is the record, we reached 63 at the big airport.

They touched on this in the AFD yesterday:

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Fort Worth TX
339 PM CDT Mon May 10 2021

...New Long Term...

.SHORT TERM... /Issued 1243 PM CDT Mon May 10 2021/
/Through Tuesday/

Broad upper-level cyclonic flow is now entrenched across virtually
all of the CONUS, which has helped to push a strong, late-season
cold front south to near the TX Gulf Coast. The 12Z RAOB from FWD
shows steep lapse rates aloft, with MUCAPE near 2000 J/kg.
Thunderstorms that developed earlier (and are still ongoing) are
rooted around 850 mb, some of which have been able to tap into
this impressive though elevated instability. A few thunderstorms
became severe and even supercellular, with a few reports of hail
to up 1.5" in diameter being received.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue across parts of North TX
this afternoon as the 850 mb cold front remains stretched across
the region. These thunderstorms will shift south and east later
this afternoon, impacting East TX. The combination of the
continuing precipitation, dense cloud cover, and cold air
advection will also keep high temperatures in the 60s for most of
the region. To put this in perspective, the forecast highs for
today are more in line with the normal lows for the second week of
May. Despite this, the record low max of 57 F at DFW and 63 F at
Waco have both already been topped
, so while cool, not
unprecedented.

Hope you never experience it, but I've had softball size plus once and it sounded like someone standing on the roof beating it with a sledgehammer.

The craziest part about that hail was that it wasn’t even raining before the hail started. I was completely asleep and it was loud enough to make me jump outta bed.

I know right. My wife and I thought our little ones were throwing stuff in the house and hitting the ceiling. I was like stop throwing stuff..... went out to the living room and they were just playing trains. Hahah

Well, I finally got a decent amount of rain this evening! Woohoooooooo! Maybe this is the start of a wetter pattern? This is the most rain in at least a month for my area. I am liking model trends right now!

A lot of water coming to the Red, Brazos, and Trinity river valleys. We've seen a persistent SW-SC trough this April and May and years like 2007 had such a feature. May see some filled lakes if not over pretty soon should it continue. Not quite the magnitude of 2015 but we're heading into summer on a good start in the eastern 2/3rds of the state.
