I’m just happy the amount of thunder and lightning was minimal in my area...meant I actually got some sleep at night!

(I’m probably a minority among all the weather nerds on this site but I’m mostly interested in storms because they scare me )

I know I can't straddle the atmosphere...just a tiny storm in your teacup, girl.

That should hold you over for a bit :D

You were around the sweetspot it seems. I got around 4" or so. Plenty though.

I think we will see some upgrades from SPC for North Texas based on the 12z models. Unless they think the models are weakening the cap too much.

The HRRR and NAM are consistently depicting storms around 8-10pm tonight that would justify an expansion of the slight risk into most of dfw

Glad everyone got rain! Sadly, my area is suffering greatly this spring. Most of the rain fell to my west and north over the weekend. I did not even get an inch. I am not sure why my area keeps getting missed, but things are about to get rough if it does not start raining more soon.

Looks like the upgrade was mostly for large hail but the 10% Tor hatch does include the northern burbs of DFW.

Also want to mention 30% HATCHED Hail & Wind threat for DFW & 10% HATCHED Tornado threat just to the North
(But, where is the GIF for highlighted areas for the Tornado, Wind & Hail threats? Or does that not exist?)

(And btw, I've noticed hot-linking on the GIFs from you, I'd use Gifyu (Or Imgur) to prevent the S2K Bandwidth from being wrecked . . .)

FWD going from 20% of storms in my point forecast to 70% of svr storms. Never easy to forecast when you have a strongly capped but explosive parameter space.

Could be an unpleasant surprise for the metroplex if things go right. Timing is pretty good for overperform peak hours, it's hot, and dews are up there around 70. Front will break the cap. Wind profiles aren't great for tors but hail parameters up there.
