Tornado watch issued for the areas west of the moderate. I'm guessing that means they'll put up a PDS watch later.

Watch incoming for the moderate risk area... Wouldn't be surprised if it's PDS.

EDIT: It's up now. Not PDS

Any damage reports? Seems unlikely based on where it was in very rural areas, even though there was a Mesonet site that recorded 87 mph wind gusts near Hart, TX that was likely related to the Tornado . . .

I haven't seen really any reports of damage from that one thankfully

Well the expectation that today would be the first major tornado outbreak of the year certainly verified, with several tornadoes reported. Some appeared to be strong and 1 was a violent wedge that luckily appears to have stayed over rural areas. Still could get some more action in the next couple hours but it should start slowing down from here.

We likely won't have to wait very long for the next major event which looks to be Wed 3/17. Day 5 slight risk already on SPC (with some relatively strong wording given it's still that far out) and recent model runs have shown it could end up being another major event.

Not just that, there is a increasing model trend on a POSSIBLE outbreak Tues 3/16 along I-35 from Northern Oklahoma to Central Texas eastward, the GFS & GEFS is really showing it lately . . .

This probably won't get rated anything higher than EF2/3 since (thankfully) it tore through a rural area. But I'd say it was almost certainly at least EF4 at peak.
