And that’s 5 1/2 days after the first flake fell and 2 days of total sunshine. Relentless cold for North Texas.
Also had my two recent college grad sons home for this. It was interesting to ride this out with them (no power, being cold, keeping the wood burning stove going through the night, playing card games in the light of an LED lantern, etc.).
Definitely a few memorable “Snow Days” in my house that will live for a longtime in our family lore.
Enduring hardships like these together as a family are often some of the most cherished memories we have when we get older and look back. I'm happy you were able to make the best of it and that you got through it!
I feel sympathetic for any kids whose parents deprived them of these character-building experiences and sent them to Cancun for the week
