That might be the reason why they started to name Winter Storms is because there can be too many of them at once to track!

I've managed to have only 2 storms, but those 2 were BIG . . .

Anyone ready for 60s next week? I am!

We have only 2 more bitterly cold nights before it finally retreats!

EDIT: Even though the lower 20s is bitterly cold, it's nothing to me . . .

Well, I shoveled my walk; my neighbor shoveled theirs, but beyond our two houses the block is unwalkable. I can't really blame folks down here for not being aware; I've been here 62 years and don't recall a storm leaving this much frozen stuff four days later.

Nice moderate snow falling (big wet flakes) across San Antonio now. Unbelievable to have 2 snow events with accumulations in 4 days. Ground is already starting to get a nice coating and we have several hours to go.

Those 2 storms that went through a few days ago were those 2 snowstorms in 2 days for me!

Snowing heavily in Del Rio. Nearing 3 inches already. Second storm in a week.

And hopefully the LAST winter storm for this winter, I now want warmer weather for March! (But models are hinting yet ANOTHER chilly blast in Early March . . .)

South of I-20 it's probably over if you consider climo. North of I-20 usually until about the second week of March. Oklahoma has all of March.

We've held on to at least 3-4" of snow depth since Sunday!

I still have a max depth of 12 inches . . . It's looking like that I'm living in Wisconsin or Minnesota . . .

I still can get snow in April, even though Tulsa a few years ago got snow in May . . .

Speaking of snow depth, this event has made it pretty clear sun angle while a factor, temperature is way more important. February has nearly the same sun angle as October and we've kept a week's long snow cover longer than most in deep winter. We had bright sunny blue skies that hardly did a thing on Tuesday.

Except maybe to the roads, but that almost instantly turns into Ice.

Texting some old friends in southwest Arkansas this morning. They are not trained in snow measurements, but far what it's worth:

Pat near Texarkana says 15", Scott in Arkadelphia 18", Darin near Hope 22".

I will never forget that week either, that week will never be forgotten for most Southern Plains residents because it contained the Cold of the Century, but if the cold was not enough, it also contained the Storm of the Century, & then another storm! Urgh! :break:

Life in the snow globe of Central TX continues. Big fluffy snowflakes just started drifting about yet again. Quite a surreal week for the State, indeed.
