5 miles south of Tyler, TX

We started off as a rain snow mix, then a change over to all snow, now we are getting moderate snowfall with very large flakes.

Snow is just now starting to cover grassy surfaces, vehicles, roofs, and trees.

Wish this site allowed pics directly, I have some nice ones. It's been moderate snow for a few hours now. Seems to be picking up again.

This has nearly been the perfect storm, everyone gets a chance at snow! That is very far to the south.

I am not a meteorologist. Anything posted by me should not be taken as an official forecast. Get your information from respected sources such as NWS and NOAA. I get my weather information the same way Hank Hill does ..... I look out the window and say ... "YUP".

Just took a walk with the daughter and nephew. Snow is lighter now but hopefully that band to the south gives us a quick heavy burst. So pretty to look at.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.
