New area near Madeira

That's near Portugal?...small group of islands off Portugal.. but I hadn't picked up on that yet...I don't see anything on NHC 5 day outlook concerning this area...best thing to do is check the NHC and of course, check out 2k often as well...have a great day...

The models have been showing this low for a decent amount of time now, but it never really becomes anything significant. Maybe a weak TS. We’ll have to wait and see what the NHC thinks of it.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Quite a few members in the latest GFS run show (near) TD-like conditions at 54 hours, even though I don't think any of them form into a TS atm.
