I would say more ENE to NE lol.

if it does not turn..

Key west will get into the CDO and heavier bads in a few hours.

Seeing gravity waves in the visible, this might be a hurricane already.

there was one spaghetti model that took it to key west then back to cuba then over to the yucatán through bay of campeche

What about TropicalTidbits?


I think he focuses on the high density obs to start a session. This plane seems only to be communicating RECC obs and dropsondes. Though I would not mind getting an eyewall and center drop.

No shot Eta is moving N... and the more intensifies, the more East it goes... the next 24 hours will be very interesting... I honestly can not believe we are still tracking this storm and Florida is looking at another direct strike

Does anyone know where exactly Eta's center is? Has it relocated under that heavy convective activity nearing 84W or is it near 85W?

If there was the sea-level pressure of 997 MB & not even close to the center of Eta . . .

Yeah, it is hard to keep up without the high density obs, but better than waiting hours for an ASCAT to miss it.
