Feels like TS conditions here in Grand Cayman. Power line has just come down a mile down the road from home

That was when the recon was descending, those west winds were way up at H50, when it descended it reported NE winds.

I think that Eta moving parallel to the deep layer shear it has helped it become better organized this morning, definitely that TS look on satellite.

AF308 got called off because it was not needed since AF309 is inside Eta!

The north side of the storm should have the weaker winds due to the ENE motion, the fact that the Georgetown station is reporting 40 mph sustained winds from the ESE is impressive.

Is recon finding sub-circulations?

Maybe an old vorticity, pressure is much lower over the Cayman Islands than where the recon is.

That does appears to be the circulation on image just west of the Cayman Islands, winds just switched to the SW there.

There is no need for a confirmation. The international airport on Grand Cayman is reporting TS winds:

Still nothing from the NHC, likely waiting more on Recon than reports right now, I so wished they put an update on Eta right now.

Is it just me or does this have the look of a rapidly organizing system here? Certainly don’t expect it to get up to hurricane strength. But satellite presentation is markedly better than anything we’ve seen since ETA moved off CA coast

Recon is reporting a LLC @ 1005mb well west (82.5W) of the one near Cayman but think the one near Grand Cayman is the one taking over under deep convection. We will see.
