Stephanie, I just go to Google's advanced image search page at this link and type in whatever I'm looking for (after choosing the right size...usually "small" or "icon" sized).

Stephanie - I scoured the internet looking for an animated avatar of snow falling until I finally found the one I am using. Here is the link, although I am not sure what the parent site is anymore:
